Dato' Rahim is unquestionably one of the veterans of Malaysian stage and screen, with multiple nominations and awards for his work as an actor, director and writer, his most recent success being Best Supporting Actor at the 20th Malaysian Film Festival (2007) for his role in Cinta (2006). Among some of his other best known works are Tsu Feh Sofiah (1981), Abang (1981), Matinya Seorang Patriot (1984), Puteri (1987), Abang 92 (1993), and Puteri Gunung Ledang (2004). He will soon be seen in Yasmin Ahmad's upcoming film Muallaf.
