Aaron's interest in filmmaking began at an early age. At the Malaysian Video Awards 2001, his work was already being recognised, winning the Silver Award for Best Experimental Film (Under 18). Aaron wrote, produced and directed short films Crook (2003), Shoot the Malaysian (2004), Wicked (2005), Hijack (2006) and telemovie Finding (2007). Shoot the Malaysian was one of three commissioned Malaysian film works for the Asian Film Symposium 2004 in Singapore. Crook was awarded Best Short Film/Video at the 2nd Festival Filem Pelajar Malaysia while Wicked received the Jury Prize at the 4th Festival Filem Pelajar Malaysia. Aaron has also been DoP on television commercials, music videos for various local artists, including Liang, Burn AF1, Farah Asyikin and 6ixth Sense, as well as Woo Ming Jin's upcoming digital feature film Kurus. Aaron has a Diploma in Filmmaking from Akademi Filem Malaysia.
