Weng Onn began writing music at the age of 13. Since then, he has composed the music for several original musicals, including Green Tea - The Musical (2002) and Drunk Before Dawn (2006). Weng Onn has also written and arranged songs, jingles for radio and television commercials, website theme music, and music for a short documentary. He was recently Orchestra Manager for Tunku - The Musical produced by the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre. Together with his contemporary jazz band Soundaz, Weng Onn has performed several times at Bangkok Jazz, KL. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Classical Music from University College Sedaya International (UCSI).
